🌟 Significance

Pradosha Vrat is observed on the Trayodashi Tithi (13th lunar day) during both waxing (Shukla) and waning (Krishna) phases of the moon. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva, the deity of transformation and cosmic energy. When this vrat falls on a Monday, it is called Som Pradosh, and is considered highly auspicious. Devotees believe that observing this vrat and praying during Pradosh Kaal pleases Lord Shiva, removes past sins, and brings peace, health, and prosperity.

🙋‍♂️ FAQs

Q1. Who can observe Pradosha Vrat?
Anyone — men, women, students, professionals, or elders — can observe this vrat for blessings.

Q2. Is it compulsory to fast without food or water?
Not at all. If health or routine doesn’t allow, a fruit-based fast or even simple puja without fasting is also effective. Intention matters most.

Q3. What if I miss the Pradosh Kaal muhurat?
Try to pray within that window, but if missed, you can still perform Shiva puja later in the evening. Devotion > timing.

Q4. Why is Monday's Pradosh (Som Pradosh) so special?
Because Monday is ruled by Lord Shiva. Praying on this day during Pradosh multiplies the results and is especially effective for wish-fulfillment and peace of mind.

📝 Conclusion

Pradosha Vrat is not just a religious practice — it's a spiritual cleansing. When it falls on a Monday, its energy becomes even more powerful. Whether you fast strictly or do a simple puja with devotion, what matters is your shraddha (faith) and bhavna (emotion). Light a diya, chant Lord Shiva's name, and watch how peace and clarity start flowing into your life.
