How is numerology compatibility calculated?
Each date of birth gives a mulank and a bhagyank. Four pairings are checked on the friendship table and score 2, 1 or 0, so the total is out of 8.
Which numbers are most compatible?
Numbers that are friends in the table, such as 1 with 2, 3, 5 or 9. Mercury's 5 is a friend of every number. Pairs like 1 and 8 or 4 and 9 are traditionally challenging.
Is mulank or bhagyank more important for compatibility?
Traditions differ. Many give the mulank more weight for day-to-day temperament and the bhagyank for life direction, which is why both are paired here, and each with the other.
Can a couple with a low score be happy?
Yes. A score describes how two sets of numbers sit together in a tradition; it does not measure love, effort or respect, which decide far more.
Is this the same as kundli matching?
No. Kundli matching (Guna Milan) compares the Moon's nakshatras from both birth charts and scores out of 36. This is numerology only and needs just the two dates.
