- Chaturmas is closed: from the moment Devshayani Ekadashi begins (13 July 2027, 12:09) to the moment Devuthani Ekadashi begins (9 November 2027, 07:35).
- An adhika month is closed: there is no adhika month in 2027.
- Guru and Shukra must be clear of the Sun: no marriage while Jupiter is within 11° of the Sun or Venus within 10° (8° while retrograde) — the classical combustion (asta) orbs.
