- Chaturmas is closed: from the moment Devshayani Ekadashi begins (13 July 2027, 14:39) to the moment Devuthani Ekadashi begins (9 November 2027, 10:05).
- An adhika month is closed: there is no adhika month in 2027.
- Guru and Shukra must be clear of the Sun: no marriage while Jupiter is within 11° of the Sun or Venus within 10° (8° while retrograde) — the classical combustion (asta) orbs.
- Nakshatra: the Moon in one of the eleven vivah nakshatras — Rohini, Mrigashira, Magha, Uttara Phalguni, Hasta, Swati, Anuradha, Mula, Uttara Ashadha, Uttara Bhadrapada and Revati.
