Vastu is a traditional framework for arranging a home, not a guarantee of health, wealth or any outcome. Never change the structure of a building on a direction alone; ask a qualified engineer.

What should I check first in home Vastu?
The main door — which way it faces and where it sits on the wall — then the kitchen and the master bedroom. Those three carry the most weight in the tradition.
How are directions measured in Vastu?
From the centre of the home, against true north. A phone compass reads magnetic north; the Vastu compass adds the correction for your place to show true north.
Is a south facing house bad?
No. Like every wall, the south wall has favoured door positions; the fear comes from the market more than from the tradition.
Does Vastu mean rebuilding the house?
No. Most of it is about where things go, cleanliness, light and air. Change the structure only for a real need, on an engineer's advice.
