The Bengali date is the solar month and the day within it, as West Bengal reckons it: a month opens the day after the Sun enters the next sidereal sign (the Bengal, or midnight, rule), and the Bangabda year turns at 1 Boishakh, Pohela Boishakh. Bangladesh keeps a reformed calendar in which 1 Boishakh is always 14 April, so its date can be a day apart from this one. The sheet is for the date on the calendar, midnight to midnight; the tithi, nakshatra, yoga and karana printed are the ones current at that date's sunrise, which is what names a Vedic day, with the time each ends.
