Longitude is measured around the zodiac from 0° Aries. Degree in sign is the remainder inside the current 30° sign. Retrograde labels come from the computed daily speed; Rahu and Ketu use mean-node motion.
- Calculate one observation epoch with Swiss Ephemeris and the Lahiri sidereal offset.
- Divide longitude into 30-degree signs; the remainder is the degree shown inside the sign.
- Use computed longitudinal speed for direct or retrograde labels; mean-node motion is used for Rahu and Ketu.
